Chao graduated from NAIT with a Bachelor of Business Administration, she started working at KBH in 2014 as a Co-Op student for 8 months. Chao loved us so much that she then stayed as a part-time associate while studying at college. After she graduated, Chao became an articling student in 2016. Chao was born and raised in China, and actually received a Bachelor of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine Degree before moving to Canada.
Grace Friedmann, CPA
Grace received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from MacEwan University in 2015. Grace has been with KBH since September 2015, where she sometimes likes to bring her Newfoundland puppy to come visit. She is also an avid snowboarder and makes furniture in her spare time!
Jaime graduated from NAIT in 2016 with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a Major in Accounting. Jaime is currently working towards her CPA designation while working for KBH since 2016. Jaime won two City of Edmonton volleyball championships in high school. After high school she decided to coach for a year and won a third championship as a coach. Jaime also played for the NAIT women’s volleyball team while completing her degree. She’s super sporty! Last year her ringette team was undefeated the entire season, and went on to win provincials.
Jennifer King, CPA
Jennifer graduated from MacEwan University 2014 and started with KBH the same year. Accounting seems to run in the family, as she has 3 parents who are CA’s.
Julia received her Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta and started with KBH in 2016. She loves animals and adopted a three legged cat in 2017 from the Edmonton Humane Society a week after her leg was amputated.
Loree has worked for KBH in Provost office since 2007. With her extensive knowledge of reading financial statements and building budgets, including a background in bookkeeping, Loree prepares yearends and does personal tax returns. Her passion’s included horses and barrel racing!
Matthew has a Commerce degree from the University of Alberta, and is an articling student working to receive his CPA designation. Matt is an avid golfer and plays to a single digit handicap, he also has a pet snake but thinks it’s kind of weird – we’re saying it anyways, sorry Matthew.
Michelle graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Commerce in 2016, and was the recipient of The Dr. Hu Harries Medal in Business for being top of the 2016 graduating class for the Faculty of Business. Michelle started with KBH in 2016, and in her free time enjoys running, skiing, and playing soccer and basketball.
Nic has a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a Major in Accounting from MacEwan University, and started with KBH in 2017. Nic cage dived with great white sharks in South Africa, and survived to work another day.
Rachel graduated from MacEwan University with a Bachelor of Commerce, and started with KBH in 2015. She serves on the board for Alberta Vein to Vein Society (Transfusion medicine education and awareness NPO), and has trekked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Peru for Christmas one year.
Sheena graduated from Kings University College in 2008 with a Commerce Degree; she currently works part-time in our Provost Office. This is fair as she is a busy mom of two young children, balancing work and parenting.
Sheri started with KBH in 2016 and has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree with an Accounting Major from MacEwan University. She is currently working towards her CPA designation. Jann Arden was at Sheri’s family reunion one year. It turns out they’re not related though, so it wasn’t that exciting in the end.
Taryn has a Commerce Degree, with distinction, with a Major in Accounting from MacEwan University. She started with KBH in 2016 and has been an articling student since. Taryn is an outdoor enthusiast, she loves to white water kayak, and go back country hiking, and camping whenever she gets a few days off in the summer.
Taylor attended MacEwan University for three years before transferring to University of Alberta graduating in 2014. Taylor started with the firm in January 2015, at which point she started the CPA program and finished all of the modules. Her bucket list is to travel to each continent. So far she’s been to places in 3 out of the seven – North America, Asia and Europe – only four more to go! Taylor also competed in ballroom dancing when she was in High school.
Vyacheslav (or Slavik) has his Bachelors of Commerce from the University of Alberta, and started with KBH in 2016. Slavik broke both of his thumbs, but at different times, during the same rugby game.
