Many business owners come to us and they really open up. Even if they’re not our clients they feel like they can tell us everything.

Shabir graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Victoria in 1999. He received his CA designation in 2001, became a partner in 2007 and received his FEA designation in 2017. Shabir excels working with family and privately owned businesses. The combination of multiple family members, a generational view and the potential for legacy planning requires a wholistic viewpoint that requires much more than just tax or accounting knowledge.  By considering multiple perspectives, Shabir is able to provide guidance and advice to families that is uniquely designed to fit.  He also has specialized knowledge of clients working in manufacturing industries, oil and gas services, restaurants and medical/dental professionals, as well as with condominium and real estate businesses.

Shabir currently sits on the board for the Edmonton Community Foundation and also coaches youth volleyball. For a number of years he was a director and treasurer for Youth Empowerment Support Services (YESS) in Edmonton and AIESEC Canada and is a past board member of several other charities.

Shabir grew up in Vancouver but calls Edmonton home.  He is married and is the proud father of two daughters. Shabir enjoys reading, playing volleyball, cycling, and investing in the stock market in his spare time.
